QIAGEN Cooperated with AN GREAT (AIT)

On 17 December 2021, with the support of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and Chongqing Customs District P.R.China, QIAGEN China and An Great (AIT) entered into a strategic cooperation to establish the QIAGEN Chongqing Bonded Distribution Centre. The establishment of this centre marks the launch of bonded processing, equipment commissioning, technical consulting, supporting and after-sales services for life science instruments in the Xiyong Park by QIAGEN China. This initiative opens up a new model for faster response to customer needs in life sciences and molecular diagnostics, and for more quality QIAGEN products to be available to the Chinese market.

For the past decades, QIAGEN's sales business in China has been an important core, i.e. bringing in the most advanced products from Germany to serve domestic research units, CDC government agencies, and medical institutions. However, with the rapid development of the life science and pharmaceutical industry in China, it is not enough to bring advanced German products into the country. It is the long-term plan for the development of Kedge China to import the most advanced R&D technology and production capacity from the German headquarters into China, to further improve the cooperation between China and Germany, to realise the localisation of products and to promote the exchange and win-win situation between China and Germany to a new level.
