As China’s pet market continues to flourish, with rising pet ownership and increasing per capita spending, the demand for quality veterinary care is rapidly growing.
Amidst this landscape, human diagnostic companies are increasingly turning their attention to the animal healthcare sector. Leveraging their expertise and innovations in human diagnostics, these companies are poised to drive advancements in the pet healthcare industry. Unlike human medical devices, animal healthcare equipment generally has shorter development cycles, more flexible regulations, and faster commercialization timelines. Yet, challenges such as low usage frequency and an incomplete regulatory framework still pose hurdles to long-term growth.
In response to these challenges, CACLP has partnered with the WESAVC (the East and West Small Animal Veterinarians Conference) to launch the 1st Human-to-Animal Medical Device Transition Forum at CACLP 2025. The forum will focus on how human diagnostic innovations can be effectively applied to the animal healthcare market, accelerating its transition and promoting the standardization of the industry.
The event will offer valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges facing the sector, and help companies capitalize on their strengths in R&D, technological innovation, and brand building. It will also serve as a platform to promote deeper integration and shared growth within the animal healthcare industry.
