The Life Science division of Meridian Bioscience, Inc., a leading global provider of diagnostic testing solutions and life science raw materials, today announced the launch of the industry's first liquid qPCR master mixes proven stable for over 12 months at ambient temperatures and shippable with oligos without compromising performance. This breakthrough eliminates the need for refrigeration, freezing, or costly lyophilization (freeze-drying), offering a level of flexibility and convenience not previously available in liquid formats. With superior performance, these new mixes expand Meridian's portfolio of ambient-stable molecular reagents while simplifying logistics, reducing costs, and delivering sustainable solutions for assay developers and high-throughput automation users across all settings — from point-of-care (POC) to centralized labs.
PreAnalytiX GmbH, a joint venture between QIAGEN N.V. (NYSE: QGEN; Frankfurt, Prime Standard: QIA) and BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company; NYSE: BDX), today announced the launch of the PAXgene® Urine Liquid Biopsy Set, which enables the reliable analysis of cell-free DNA (cfDNA) from urine with most molecular testing technologies, including qPCR, digital PCR and next-generation sequencing (NGS). The new set will be commercialized by QIAGEN.
To address challenges with error-prone, manual molecular testing workflows, Thermo Fisher Scientific today has introduced Diomni Enterprise Software, helping streamline routine diagnostics testing for standardization and faster time-to-results. By connecting workflow steps within one interface, Diomni Enterprise can increase a lab’s ability to dynamically respond to today’s rapidly changing testing environment. The solution can be used by a variety of labs performing routine quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) diagnostic tests and by developers to increase the speed of innovation for emerging testing solutions.
Seegene Inc. (KQ096530), a leading South Korean company which provides a total solution for PCR molecular diagnostics, announced an agreement with Werfen, a worldwide leader in Specialized Diagnostics, to advance discussions on the expansion of its current collaboration for the Spanish and Portuguese marketplaces through Seegene's OneSystem™ Business.
Researchers from Newcastle University, and colleagues from Spain, Canada and Egypt, have successfully trialled two new qPCR assays to help detect the presence of transmissible AMR using water and wastewater samples.
