On March 2, the FTSE Russell Day announced the results of the quarterly audit changes of the FTSE China A50 and other indices.
FTSE Russell has reviewed and changed the FTSE China 50 Index, FTSE China A50 Index, FTSE China A150 Index, FTSE China A200 Index, FTSE China A400 Index, FTSE China A Small Cap Index, etc. The results will be Effective after the market close of on Friday, March 18, 2022.
From the list, 25 stocks including Nanjing Vazyme Biotech Co.,Ltd and Andon Health Co., Ltd were included and Zhejiang Orient Gene Biotech Co.,Ltd was on the list of candidates for adjustment. FTSE Russell made a wide-ranging adjustment to the FTSE A Small Cap Index, adding 551 new stocks. New stocks including IVD companies such as Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co.,Ltd. Beijing Leadman Biochemistry Co.,Ltd Acrobiosystems CO.,Ltd. and Assure Tech (Hangzhou) Co.,Ltd were now on the list of Index.
The changes of the FTSE will bring a considerable impact on individual stocks, which would trigger the buying and selling of passive funds. Although A-shares have not performed well since the beginning of this year, foreign investors continue to be optimistic about Chinese market. In January, foreign capital increased their holdings of domestic bonds and stocks by US$41.6 billion, and the accumulated net purchases of northbound funds this year also reached 23.255 billion (CNY).
The constituent stocks of the FTSE China A50 Index are reviewed quarterly in March, June, September and December each year. The quarterly review uses data from the market close on the Monday for every third Friday of February, May, August and November to conduct a constituent review. Any constituent adjustments will be implemented after the market close on the third Friday in March, June, September and December.
