On April 25-26, Yin Ye, CEO of BGI Genomics, and his delegation visited Serbia and signed a memorandum of understanding with the Serbian Ministry of Health on cooperation in public health and precision testing.
The MOU aims to implement the cooperation intention reached at the meeting between BGI Genomics Chairman Wang Jian and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić in November last year and will further strengthen the cooperation in the fields of bioinformatics and new medical diagnostic technologies.
Dr. Danica Grujičić, Minister of Health of Serbia, expressed her affirmation and satisfaction for the cooperation in the past three years, and had an in-depth discussion with Yin Ye and his delegation on the cooperation in public health, disease diagnosis, monitoring, and prevention, hoping to jointly promote early detection, diagnosis, intervention and treatment of diseases to achieve the goals of reducing the incidence of diseases and improving people's life. The goal is to reduce the incidence of diseases and improve the well-being of the people.
This agreement was signed to promote the application of genomics testing in the local clinical field and to jointly carry out public health projects such as tumor prevention and control in the region.
