Significant regulatory changes across numerous medical fields are coming in 2024 with pharmaceutical and medical device companies urged to be ready for a year of legal alterations.

Chongqing, China – The 21st edition of China Association of Clinical Laboratory Practice Expo (CACLP) and the 4th edition of China IVD Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) are scheduled to take place 16-18 March at Chongqing International Expo Center. The two tradeshows will be complemented by a diverse range of concurrent academic activities, starting on 15 March 2024.

On 8 December, Zhejiang Healthcare Security Administration issued a notice on managing and encouraging the breakthrough medical technology.

A total of 13 departments, including the National Health Commission (NHC) and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) have jointly formulated an action-implementation plan for cancer prevention and control from 2023 to 2030.

In 2023, NHC and 10 other departments issued the Action Plan Towards the Elimination of Cervical Cancer (2023-2030). The goal is that by 2025, HPV vaccination services for girls of school age will be promoted on a pilot basis, the cervical cancer screening rate for women of school age will reach 50%, and the treatment rate for patients with cervical cancer and precancerous lesions will reach 90%.

It is stated that from 30 August 2023, all travelers entering China will no longer need to undergo any COVID-19 testing.
