As part of promotional activities leading up to CACLP 2026, a series of activities took place successfully in Xiamen last week. Among them, the Xiamen Forum on Empowering the In Vitro Diagnostics Industry and Exploring New Models of Collaboration was held on 21 November 2025.
Co-organized by the China Association of In Vitro Diagnostics (CAIVD), the China Professional Community of Experimental Medicine (CPCEM), the China Association of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Twin Medicine (CAIDM) and CACLP, supported by Haicang Taiwan Investment Zone Biopharmaceutical Association, Haicang Biomedicine Port Science & Technology Association, and Xiamen Biotime Biotechnology Co., Ltd., the forum brought together experts and professionals from manufacturing, distribution, research institutes, and industry organizations.

The forum centered on industry trends, technology translation, application innovation, and collaborative pathways linking industry academia and research. By facilitating upstream-downstream connections and accelerating research transformation, the forum explored new models of cooperation to support high-quality development of Xiamen’s biopharmaceutical and IVD sectors and to contribute to global health innovation.
The forum further energized the biomedical and IVD landscape in Xiamen and Fujian Province, reinforcing the city’s role as a high-level exchange hub. From 21-23 March 2026, the CACLP 2026 will take place at the Xiamen International Expo Center, welcoming global industry peers to gather, exchange insights, and explore new opportunities for innovation and collaboration.
Media Briefing Successfully Held in Xiamen

The Media Briefing for CACLP 2026 was also held on the afternoon of 21 November in Xiamen. The upcoming mega-event comprises:
- The 23rd China International In Vitro Diagnostic Expo by CACLP
- The 6th China IVD Supply Chain Expo
- The 2nd China AI and Digital Twin Medicine Conference & The 2nd AI and Digital Twin Technology Academic Salon
- The 11th China Experimental Medicine Conference and Series Sessions
- The 13th China IVD Industry Development Conference and Series Forums
The briefing was hosted and organized by CAIVD, CPCEM, CAIDM and CACLP.

During the briefing, Ms. Karen Dai, Executive Deputy Secretary of CAIVD, General Manager of CACLP, provided an overview of event preparations, including themes, expert line-up, program structure, scale, expected international participation, and sustainability initiatives.
To strengthen specialization, internationalization, and brand development, the 2026 edition will highlight the full IVD industry ecosystem.
In response to rapid progress in artificial intelligence and digital technologies, a dedicated AI Zone will debut, accompanied by high-level forums on AI-assisted diagnostics, digital pathology, laboratory automation and intelligence, globalization strategies, primary care diagnostics, and at-home testing.

Representing the local industry, Mr. Yanghuang Zhuang, Deputy General Manager of Xiamen Biotime Biotechnology Co., Ltd., welcomed the event’s debut in Xiamen.
He highlighted Xiamen’s positioning of biomedicine and healthcare as strategic emerging industries and its strong industrial cluster. Hosting CACLP 2026 will further connect Xiamen and Fujian with advanced technologies and international resources, generating new momentum for regional development.

Prof. Haibo Song, Chairman of CAIVD, Director of the IVD Industrial Development Institute at SAEM, and Founder of CACLP, emphasized that CACLP has evolved into one of the flagship global events in the IVD sector, linking industry and research, market and application, and domestic and international cooperation.
He noted that CACLP 2026 will serve both as a professional tradeshow and a high-level think tank, especially in accelerating AI-diagnostics integration, strengthening global resource connectivity, and supporting Chinese IVD enterprises’ globalization strategies. He expressed sincere appreciation to the Xiamen Municipal Government, supporting organizations, and industry partners for their continuous support.
